NDDC: Why Buhari should sack Akpabio, IMC now – Sagay

Itse Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council Against Corruption, PACAC, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

Sagay alleged that Akpabio was neck deep in the issues around the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

The National Assembly is currently investigating the Interim Management Committee, IMC, of NDDC over alleged fraud and mismanagement of funds. During an investigative hearing by the House of Representatives on Monday, Akpabio had accused members of the National Assembly of being beneficiaries of most of the contracts from NDDC.

However, Sagay while appearing on Channels Television said the President should also sack members of NDDC IMC.
