Edo discharges 60 more COVID-19 patients as confirmed cases reach 2,000

Edo State Government, yesterday, announced the discharge of 60 more COVID-19 patients, who have tested negative for the virus and cleared from the state’s isolation centres.

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Patrick Okundia, who disclosed this to journalists in Benin City, urged residents to comply with all the set guidelines to contain the pandemic as confirmed cases in the state have reached 2,000.

He noted that the state had recorded 11 new confirmed cases tested at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) laboratory.
