Governor Nyesom Wike hosts Governor Obaseki in Rivers state after he got disqualified by APC (photos)

Governor Nyesom Wike on Sunday June 14 hosted Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki at the government house in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital. 

The meeting is coming after APC screening committee disqualified Obaseki from the Edo governorship primary election but cleared Osagie Ize-Iyamu who is reportedly favoured by the party's national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole. Recall that the Edo state governor has been embroiled in a faceoff with Oshiomhole who is his predecessor. 

Though the reason for his visit to Rivers state is not clear at the moment, but it should also be noted that Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president and the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had asked Obaseki to join the party for his reelection bid.
