Coronavirus: Kano Govt Confirms 27 New Cases As Toll Hits 693
The Kano State Ministry of Health has confirmed one COVID-19 related death.
The ministry on its verified Twitter handle added that 27 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded, bringing the total in the state to 693.
Presently, there are 546 COVID-19 confirmed cases, with 74 discharged and 33 deaths recorded.
The tweet reads:
“Update as at 11:50 p.m, May 12, 2020; 27 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed.
“Total confirmed cases in Kano State now stand at 693, 11 additional COVID-19 patients discharged and one death recorded in the state.”
The ministry appealed to residents to observe safety guidelines and pray for the state.
Meanwhile, Nigeria on Tuesday recorded a total of 146 new cases, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 4787.
