Zamfara State Gov Approves The Appointment Of Serving Army Major As The New Emir Of Kaura-Namoda
Major Sanusi Muhammad has been appointed by the governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle as the new emir of Aura-Namoda Emirate.
In a statement signed by the media aide to the governor, Zailani Bappa, said that the appointment followed a recommendation by the area’s traditional council.
However, the new emir, age 40, would succeed his father, Alhaji Muhammad Asha, who died last week, is a serving Major in the Nigerian Army.
Asha had served as Emir for 15 years and died after s brief illness. He was aged 71.
