Former governor of Sokoto state is dead.

A former governor of Sokoto State, Garba Nadama is dead.

His dead was announced by a family source who said the former governor died as a result of protracted illness.

“The death of Alh. Garba Nadama (Former Governor of Sokoto State) has been announced. We pray to Allah (SwT) to forgive his shortcomings and make Jannatul Firdaus as his final home, Aameen.”

Nadama, 82, was the governor of old Sokoto State in 1981 after serving as a deputy governor in 1979 to shehu kangiwa who died while in office.

He was then elected in 1983 through the defunct National Party of Nigeria, NPN.
