Henderson is currently on loan from Manchester United, and he has been exceptional between the sticks for the Chris Wilder side .His performances and his heroics have seen Sheffield United in contention for an European spot , as they are just behind Manchester United with a game to play .

According to the Times Manchester United could in theory recall him back from his loan spell on July 1 after his loan expires .

Manchester United could be willing to use Henderson as the number one goalkeeper next season, because judging from the stats of both keepers Henderson seems to have an up hand this season for the Blades .

He has made fewer errors leading to goals with just one – being the mistake he made against Liverpool – compared to three from De Gea.
