PDP demands investigation into Edo sate building INEC office

The People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Edo State has demanded an immediate in­vestigation of Edo State govern­ment interest in renovating the INEC office building in Benin.

This unusual alliance was revealed when the Edo State Government through the ministry of physical planning and urban development called for tender for the building of INEC secretariat in Vanguard newspaper of Monday April 27,2020. This is coming six months to governorship elections in the state where the seating governor will be heavily involved.

The PDP called it bribery in order to win second term bid and insensitive considering the state cannot provide adequate palliatives for its citizen but can build a new secretariat for the electoral body.
