Covid-19 update of the state after meeting with critical stakeholders on Saturday evening, said the measure was the state government’s intervention to cushion the effects of the lockdown on the people, especially the vulnerable members of the society.
While noting that it was five days since the Federal Government ordered a restriction of movement in Lagos State as part of measures to help contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the governor said additional ameliorating measures to complement the welfare packages previously announced had been approved.
The ameliorating measures, he said, said, “The La- gos State Government will, for the duration of the restriction on movement, take full responsibility for the medical bills of all patients in all Lagos State-owned secondary healthcare facilities:
emergency/casualty cases, including registration, laboratory tests, surgeries, and drugs: maternity cases: normal delivery and caesarean sections.
The governor, who com- mended Lagos residents for being law-abiding, urged them to remain responsible Lagosians by obeying all the directives issued by the health experts.
