Burna Boy, Wande Coal to headline special Industry Nite concert in Dubai

Nigerian pop stars, Wande Coaland Burna Boy have been unveiled as headliners of a special Industry Nite concert in Dubai on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Dubai.

The concert will take place at theKiza Loungein Dubai and the duo will be performing together for the first time at the venue owned by Nigerian entrepreneur,Lukman Akanbi. The African-styled restaurant and lounge has played host to a number of Nigeria artistes such as Iyanya, Davido, 2face, Ice Princeamong others in the past.

Speaking on the concert, founder of Industry Nite,Matthew Ohiosaid: ‘Industry Nite will continually seek unique opportunities to ensure that Nigerian music is recognised globally. ‘This year our goal is to take Nigerian music to every Nigerian irrespective of location.

I’m always keen on promoting our music beyond this shores. So Dubai is going to be our first port of call in a series of foreign cities we intend touring this year. We are taking major Nigerian acts around the US, Europe and Asia this year.

These tours will also feature international acts from across Africa and America, creating a cultural exchange that will help African music get mainstream attention,’ he said.
Over the years, Industry Nite, which takes place everyWednesday, has played host to the likes of 2face, Dbanj, The Mavins, MI,Iyanya, Wajeto mention a few.
