‘Why should it matter that Fashola is a muslim?’ – Banky W asks

Banky W weighs in on the political situation in the land.
Nigerian R ‘n’ B star, Banky Wis known for being vocal on social and political issues in the country and today, he decided to make his position known on the most topical political issue in the land- the choice of Vice Presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Banky W, who was clearly very unhappy thatGovernor Fasholaof Lagos State was overlooked asMuhammadu Buhari’srunning mate for the 2015 General elections, expressed his thoughts in a series of tweets.

News broke earlier today thatProfessor Yemi Osinbajo,a former commissioner in Lagos was announced as Buhari’s running mate and largely peeved, Banky W wrote: ‘Abiola won the election (in a LAND SLIDE) on a muslim-muslim ticket. Wasn’t that the same country? It didn’t matter then. Why does it now? It should be Fashola,’ the singer and label executive said.
He went on to add: ‘Who cares if Fashola is a muslim? Didn’t we vote him into power in Lagos? Did the fact that he’s muslim affect the way he leads the state?
