Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company Announces 1 Month Blackout
The management of Ikeja Electric on Friday announced a one-month blackout in many of its coverage areas to enable it carry out maintenance work.
The spokesperson of the power firm, Felix Ofulue, told journalists in Lagos that the power outage will take place between March 6 to April 4, 2017.
Ofulue said during the outage period the company will repair its Ikeja West Transmission Station.
According to him the affected areas are : Ojodu, Magodo, Alausa, Oke-Afa, Bolorunpelu, Egbe, Igando, Shasha, Ipaja, Alimosho, Agege, Egbeda and Abesan.
Other areas to be affected include Ayetoro, Abule-Taylor, Ogba, Ifako, Shomolu, Gbagada, Oworonshoki, Ogudu, Isheri-Olowora, Berger, Anthony and Otta.
He said;
We are appealing to consumers to bear with the company during the maintenance work.
