Ivan Rakitic Speaks On Leaving Barcelona Before Deadline Day

Barcelona midfielder, Ivan Rakitic has said, very soon a new contract with the club will be agreed, saying he has no doubts over his future in the Camp Nou.

The Croatian international’s current contract will expire in June 2021 but the 30-year-old has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

“It will arrive soon, we are not in a hurry,” Rakitic told Diario Sport.

“The club looks after its players and they know that I feel at home here, so I believe I will receive a phone call soon.

“Ernesto Valverde is very important too, he has displayed great confidence in me and he knows what I will give the team.

“I would do everything for the team, I would be willing to sustain an injury for the team if it helped, and there is total trust.

“There is a strong relationship and it is very important.” He said.
