One of the aides of Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, Mr Fred Ndigbara has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen. According to reports, Mr Ndigbara, a staff of the Press Unit of the Government House was kidnapped during the APC rally in in Kanani 1 community in Khana local government area of Rivers State yesterday February 22nd.

The Gunmen stormed the venue of the campaign rally, disrupted proceedings and then whisked away Mr Ndigara into a waiting Toyota vehicle.

When contacted, the states police public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Ahmad Muhammad confirmed the incident, and said the police has begun a search for the governor's aide and also apprehend the kidnappers.
