Real Madrid plot Aguero transfer as striker falls out of favour at Manchester City

Real Madrid are preparing to bid for Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, in the summer.

The La Liga giants are long-term admirers of the 28-year-old and are set to make a move at the end of the season, as he appears to have lost his automatic shirt at the Etihad.

City manager Pep Guardiola opted for new boy Gabriel Jesus against West Ham on Wednesday. The Brazilian teenager responded with a sparkling performance, scoring one and providing an assist as they won 4-0 at the London Stadium.

It is understood that Guardiola is not satisfied with Aguero’s inability to press high and is likely to field Gabriel Jesus more in future.

Although Guardiola insist Aguero will not leave the club, Madrid are willing to test City’s resolve, especially if they allow Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata leave.

Aguero’s current deal runs until 2020.
