Mourinho’s First January Signing Has Been Finally Revealed – Guess Who?
As the transfer window nears, rumors are bound to be flying around in all directions. If at all Man Utd sign a player then the most prominent player will be Southampton’s Jose Fonte.
He himself has revealed that the club have not put forth any new contract offer and he is on the verge of an exit and Mourinho is all interested in him, reports 234Sport.
Fonte said:
“There’s no contract on the table. There was in the summer, they offered me a pay rise. They didn’t offer me a new contract.
“They offered me a pay rise which I’m entitled to discuss with my agent and entitled to say no to as well.”

Jose Fonte has been with Southampton since their tussle in League One but the 32-year old now faces an uncertain future.
He has just 18 months left on his contract and was offered an £80,000-a-week deal after helping Portugal to Euro 2016 glory.
