Neymar Has Been Involved In A Car Accident On Sunday Before The Sociedad Game

Barcelona return to action on Sunday night when they face Real Sociedad in an away match.


The Catalans have slipped to third place in the table after the La Liga results on Saturday. Real Madrid are now seven points clear of Barca, who they face next weekend in El Clasico, while Sevilla are a point above Luis Enrique’s men following a2-1 win over Valencia.

As Barca search for a crucial three points, Sunday hasn’t begun all that well for the Catalans.

That’s after it’s been confirmed that Neymar has been involved in a car accident on Sunday morning.

According to TV3, Neymar was on his way to Barca’s Ciutat Esportiva training ground, where the squad was scheduled to meet before flying to San Sebastian, when the accident happened.

Images from the scene revealed how Neymar’s red Ferrari ended up on the opposite direction of the side of the road he was driving on.

Neymar is said to have emerged unscathed, which should mean he is available to play tonight.
