Kiev’s Olympic Stadium has been confirmed as the venue of the 2018 Champions League final.
A UEFA executive committee member, Frantisek Laurince, announced the decision following negotiations that lasted over a year.
This means that Ukraine will host the game on May 26 that year, less than a month before the World Cup begins in neigbouring Russia.
Laurinec is the head of a UEFA panel, that liaises between Russia and Ukraine on football.
UEFA have also confirmed that Tallinn’s Lillekula Stadium will host the Super Cup on August 18.
Meanwhile, a decision is yet to be made on the venue for the 2018 Europa League final.
