Mikel Obi wants Chelsea stay

The 29-year old has taken to twitter to express his wish to remain at Stamford Bridge

Nigeria international John Mikel Obi is eyeing more seasons of winning trophies with Chelsea amidst rumours of him leaving the club.

The 29-year old midfielder has only a year left in his contract but has dropped hints of him staying put.

Mikel returned to the Blues' camp after leading the Nigeria U23 side to win Rio Olympics bronze medal in Brazil.

The African Cup of Nations winner has spent ten years already at the club playing active role in the team’s achievement over the years including winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Capital One Cup, the Uefa Champions League as well as the Uefa Europa League.
