NPFL All Stars lose to Atletico Madrid in last match
The NPFL All Stars were beaten 2-1 by Atletico Madrid, in the last match of their playing tour of Spain.
Nicolas Gaitan gave the La Liga club the lead in the 33rd minute, but the Nigerians equalized through Abdulrahman Bashir four minutes before the interval.
Diego Godin headed in a late winner, to seal victory for last season’s Champions League final losers.
Their first two games also ended in losses – 1-0 to Valencia and 4-1 to Malaga.
The NPFL All Stars finished bottom of the invitational Trofeo Carranza Tournament.
