This puts to rest speculations about the former Chelsea boss taking over the helms of affairs at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is replacing Dutch tactician, Louis Van Gaal.
Jose Mourinho is said to be the best manager in history with 66% winning rate.
He has won three league titles and seven trophies overall with four teams.
