Stats suggest Manchester United must now consider sacking manager Louis van Gaal

Manchester United lost 2-1 to Norwich on Saturday and calls for the club to sack Louis van Gaal grew even louder.

Van Gaal has found himself under enormous pressure as a result of United’s poor form in recent weeks and many fans have now had enough.

And these two stats suggest those Red Devils supporters may have a point.

It’s the first time in 69 years that United have played back-to-back top flight matches against promoted sides and lost both of them.

To compound the misery, it’s also the first time since March 2004 that the side have failed to win in six consecutive games.
