Don’t Rush To Foreign Clubs – Obuh Warns Eaglets

In a telephone chat with Naij.com Sports, Obuh who managed the Nigerian U20 team between 2010 and 2013 revealed that the boys should return to the local league to enable them mature and then graduate to the U20 level.

He said:“The boys have really tried and they surpassed expectations. I just hope they will not rush to foreign clubs. They should learn from their predecessors.


“Infact they should return to the local league, where they will graduate to the Under020 category; by then, they would have been matured.”

The former Enugu Rangers tactician was full of praises to his colleague, Emmanuel Amunike, who according to him has surprised everyone.


“It’s a good one for him. I just hope the Nigeria Football Federation will promote him to the Under-20. Nobody believed he could reach the final, not to talk of defending the trophy.

He has done really well,” Obuh stated.
