Arturo Vidal's mega-money switch to Man Utd to spark Juventus spending spree

Starsport understands United are poised to step up
efforts to land Vidal in a club record £45m deal.
New boss Louis van Gaal wants to make the Chile World
Cup star his marquee summer signing and has
instructed United officials to secure his services.
But the Dutchman is seeking assurances over Vidal's
long-term fitness and wants him to undergo a stringent
medical before United smash their transfer record.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport,
Juventus are already planning for the life without the
27-year-old midfielder.
The report suggests the Serie A champions will attempt
to lure City forward Jovetic and Inter midfielder Guarin
to Turin with the funds raised from the sale of Vidal.
It was claimed yesterday that Juventus had already
lodged a £13.5m bid for Jovetic.
The Serbia international was plagued by injuries during
his debut campaign with City after joining from
Fiorentina last summer.
City are understood to be willing to let the 24-year-old
go, however want to recoup the majority of the £22m
spent to bring him to the Etihad.
New Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is hopeful a deal
can be struck for Jovetic as well as Guarin.
Guarin, who was previously linked with a switch to
United, has been a long-term target for Juventus.
The 28-year-old was wanted by former boss Antonio
Conte, who quit the club earlier this summer.
However Conte's replacement, Allegri, remains keen to
sign £20m-rated Colombia international with Vidal
edging towards the exit door.
