Illegal detention: Court orders DSS to release Omoyele Sowore within 24 -hours

Revolution-Now convener, Omoyele Sowore closer to freedom than ever as Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, gives order to the DSS to release him within the next 24 hours.

Omoyele Sowore, also a human rights activists, has been in detention with his colleague, Bakare, for about two months, even after the court granted bail to them.

In a new court order by the Federal High Court, the DSS will also pay the sum of N100, 000 to Sowore for refusing to release him on bail despite two court orders to that effect.

The court also adjourned the trial of the case brought against them by the Nigerian Government till December 6th for continuation.
