National Assembly Are Not Children You Can Dictate To, PDP Tells Oshiomhole

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday, cautioned Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on his utterances over the election of the leadership of the incoming National Assembly.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent on the comment made by Oshiomhole that APC would not share power with PDP in the nineth National Assembly, Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP said Oshiomhole has no capacity to order members of the legislative arm of government, which is independent on how to go about its business.

He said “Oshiomhole is not talking to soldiers or robots. He is not addressing school boys or girls or babies. He is addressing adults who have the right to think and act according to the dictates of their thinking and reasoning”.

“These federal lawmakers are not boys and girls that you can dictate to anyhow. These are accomplished ladies and gentlemen who have the responsibility to determine for themselves how they want to function in office and how they want to elect their leadership”.

“Given the fact that the national assembly is a political environment, Oshiomhole does not have the capacity or wherewithal to straitjacket any federal lawmaker” he said.
