Treason: Court Adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Till October 17

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, until October 17. No reason was given for the adjournment but there are speculations that the adjournment may be unconnected with the fact that the Federal High Court has begun its annual vacation. Kanu is being tried alongside three others, David Nwawuisi, Benjamin Madubugwu and Chidiebere Onwudiwe, for treasonable offence.

He was arrested in October 2015 and held in prison until April 28th this year when he was released after he was granted bail by Justice Binta Nyako. Part of his bail conditions was that he must avoid being seen in any gathering of more than 10 persons.
