Adamawa market blast: We will not be bowed by terrorists – Atiku

A former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has called for vigilance following Friday’s bomb blast in Madagali, Adamawa State.

DAILY POST reports that at least 30 persons were killed in the explosion reportedly carried out by two female suicide bombers in a busy market in Madagali.

Atiku Abubakar, a native of Adamawa State commiserated with victims and their families.

The Turakin Adamawa enjoined residents to be vigilant and not cowed by the terrorists.

He said, “To the people of Madagali in my home state of Adamawa, affected by the bomb blast today, we are praying for you.

“Our people will not be bowed by terrorists. We must keep up our vigilance and increase intelligence even in liberated communities.

“My heart & prayers are with the families of #Adamawa Bomb Blast in madagali market today.”

Earlier, the Information Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Yola branch, Mohammed Attik, told DAILY POST that, “There was actually an attack and our officials are currently on their way to the scene of the incident now.”
