Supreme Court judge, Ngwuta pleads not guilty to 16-count charges

A Supreme Court Justice, Sylvester Ngwuta, on Monday pleaded not guilty to the 16-count charges preferred against him by the Federal Government at an Abuja Federal High Court in Abuja.

Ngwuta, was one of the judges arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS, over allegation of corruption.

The 16-count charges levelled against the Supreme Court judge borders on breach of professional ethics and forgery.


The Presiding judge, Justice John Tsoho, has stood down the matter for two hours in order to take the bail application of Ngwuta.
