Police react to viral photo of man beaten and burnt to death in Lagos

Photos of a man beaten and burnt to death on Tuesday in Lagos went viral yesterday and lots of people tagged the police on various social media platform.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle, who is the officer in charge of the Complaints Response Unit (CRU), at the Force headquarters, Abuja, took to his Twitter handle to clarify that the person that was killed was a man and not a boy, and that the corpse is currently in the mortuary for autopsy, and investigation on how he died is on going.
