Freedom has finally come the way of abducted businessman and former Chairman of Ikot-Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Amaete Ntuk.

Ntuk was kidnapped last Saturday around Ekparakwa community in Oruk Anam Local Government, a gateway to Ikot Abasi.

A family source told Vanguard that he was released alongside his wife and that they were cooling off in an undisclosed hospital at Ikot Abasi for medical treatment for machete cuts sustained during the kidnap.

It was also gathered that friends and business associates were not allowed to see him, as he was said to be recuperating from the shocking experience.

Obong Ntuk and wife were abducted on their way from the Ibom International Airport, while coming home from an event in Abuja.
