Navy arrest 16 stowaways escaping to Europe

No fewer than sixteen Nigerian citizens working towards leaving the shores of Nigeria, have been arrested by the Nigerian Navy operatives in Lagos.

The men were arrested on Friday while trying to hide inside a merchant vessel to travel to Europe.

They were arrested in the yet to be commissioned locally built war ship, NNS KARADUWA.

Recall that in March, the Nigerian Navy arrested eleven suspects in their attempt to stowaway in a vessel to Europe.

One of the stowaways, Jalo Cooper, then blamed frustration for his attempt to travel abroad through illegal means.
