Stop intimidating us with 1983 crisis – Ondo APC tells PDP

The deputy chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr Ade Adetimehin has asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop intimidating the people of the state with the threat of a repeat of the 1983 unrest.

Adetimehin said, no matter the level of intimidation and threat, the good people of the state were determined to follow a purposeful leadership,

Speaking with reporters in Akure, the state capital, Adetimehin said Ondo people were known for discipline and high intellectual capacity.

He said both the PDP and the Alliance for Democracy (AD) lacked what it takes to govern the state.

The deputy chairman said the people must support the APC candidate, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, saying “Akeredolu has what it takes to turn the fortune of the state around.”

According to him, “it can only take someone like Akeredolu who rose from a junior lawyer to the level of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to give Ondo State the desired leadership.”

Adetimehin charged youths, market women, artisans, students and other stakeholders in the state to vote for Akeredolu in the coming election.

He said all over the world , the people of the state were known for integrity and hardwork, adding that Akeredolu symbolized all that integrity and hardwork entailed.
