Niger Delta: Stop the senseless bombings of oil installations – Sen. Omo-Agege tells militants

The Senator representing the People of Delta Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege Monday appealed to militants in the Niger Delta Region to stop all bombing of oil installations in the region.
The lawmaker made the appeal at a joint meeting organized by the Urhobo Ethnic Nationality and HOSTCOM in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.

Sen. Omo-Agege also enjoined the militants to channel their grievances to President Muhammadu Buahri through their representatives, instead of destroying the pipelines, which is contributing to the economic main
stay of Nigeria.

“I want to ask for patience. I want to use this medium to appeal to our brothers to stop these senseless
attacks and channel their legitimate grievances through their elected representatives. That is why we are there”, he stated.

Omo-Agege also used the medium to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his maturity and patience in handling the insurgency in the Niger Delta.

“First, I commend Mr. President for the maturity and patience with which he has handled the insurgency in the Niger Delta.
This is obviously is as a result of his military upbringing. He knows the consequences of the use of force”, he added.
