Police sent to stop us from protesting our abandonment – Buhari’s bodyguards

Some former bodyguards of President Muhammadu Buhari, have insisted that they will go ahead with their planned protest in Abuja.
Recall that the President’s body guards, who participated during the 2015 Presidential campaigns, recently lamented that they have been pushed to the corner after he assumed office.

The bodyguards claimed they have been excluded by those they tagged as “cabals in the government.”

However, speaking with reporters on Thursday, spokesman of the group, Badiru Olabiyi Balogun said the Nigerian Police Force, has deployed its men to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja, venue of the planned protest.

According to Balogun, the move was to stop them from the planned protest.

Balogun said, “Two truckloads of mobile policemen have been deployed to our office. They said the instruction was that they should not allow us access to the office and that the people outside should not be allowed to go out.

“So, we are meeting there by 9:00 am this (Thursday) morning to disgrace them. The venue is APC Presidential Campaign Office in front of Unity Bank, CBD, Abuja.”
