APGA opposes IPOB, MASSOB, says Nigeria must remain united

National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr Victor Oye, says the party strongly believes in the unity of Nigeria.
Oye spoke on Tuesday in Awka at an event to mark his 60th birthday.

“The party believes in the unity of Nigeria; Nigerians must remain one and respect each other’s sensibilities, anchored on equitable distribution of political offices and resources,” he said.

Oye stated that the agitation for Biafra and other sundry agitations for self-rule were products of frustration, marginalisation and abandonment.

“The Igbos agitating for Biafra had been doing so without recourse to violence, killing and destruction because they believed in the sanctity of life,” Oye said.
