Ize-Iyamu Emerges PDP's Candidate For Edo 2016 Governorship Race
Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu has emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the September 10 governorship election in Edo.
In the result of the primaries announced by Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi, Chairman of the committee that conducted the exercise, Ize-Iyamu polled 584 votes to defeat two other aspirants.
His closest opponent, Mr Mathew Uduoeyekemwen scored 91 votes while Chief Solomon Edebiri polled 38 votes.
Ize-Iyamu was the Secretary to the State Government during the tenure of Chief Lucky Igbinedion.
