Buckingham Palace wants to pay someone £50,000 to run the Queen's Twitter and Facebook [Apply]

Do you fancy working in Buckingham Palace, writing tweets for the Royal Family and getting paid £50,000 - N14.2million to do it?

You're in luck! The Queen is on the hunt for a £50,000-per-year social media specialist to boost the Royal Family’s profile online.

The candidate is expected to attract new followers and manage the already prestigious Buckingham Palace pages. TelegraphUK reports the job advert says:

“It's about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen's presence inthe public eye and on the world stage. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional".

The person who gets the job must have experience "managing high profile websites" and be “comfortable developing strategy and managing wide-reaching projects".

The Royal Twitter and Facebook accounts are already very well-followed; the British Monarchy Twitter account has over 2 million followers,
Kensington Palace has 628,000 on Twitter, and Clarence House has over 500,000 on Twitter.

The job advert is on the Royal Family's website and it warns:

"The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation, brand and impact will be at the forefront of all you do. And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward."The Queen sent her first tweet in 2014 on a visit to the Science Museum, and launched her first website in 1997 during a visit to a school in North-West London.

She launched her own YouTube channel in 2007.
