APC's Change was a Scam, Nigerians Poorer Under Buhari - Shekarau Speaks Out

Speaking while addressing supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at his residence in Kano after the constitution of a 44-man sub-committee, former Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, yesterday, said citizens are not happy with the current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Shekarau, almost a year after assuming power, the change mantra preached by the All Progressives Congress (APC), has turned out to be a ruse.

The former Kano Governor said, "It is unfortunate that the APC has failed to address the abject poverty among Nigerians. Those promoting the change mantra have now ended up rewarding electorates with hunger, poverty, illiteracy and embarrassing queues at our filling stations."

Appealing to Nigerians to give the PDP another chance, Shekarau described the APC as congregation of political opportunists.

"We are still waiting to see when Nigerians will start enjoying the change the APC promised. It is almost a year now after it took over power. The first quarter of the year has already passed without a working budget for our dear nation," he said.
